Racheltastik

Hi there! I’m Racheltastik. I’m a dorky girl with an obsession with the colour pink, and as I say in my intro, I like to talk to myself, about myself, in front of a camera. I make vlogs and silly videos and put them on the internet occasionally. Come on by, check me out, and if you like what you see, subscribe. And if you don’t, no worries! Have a nice day! ^.^

5 Tips to Help Your Channel

Hi! My name is Cassandra! I am a growing youtuber with a following of 17,000. My friend that made this tumblr asked me what 5 tips I would give to people to help their channel grow. So here are some tips that I hope can help you in some way!

1) Getting Involved in the Youtube Community!

This is hard if you live far from events but try to go out of your way to youtube gatherings and make friends! Some people call this networking, but it doesn’t have to feel like work! You can make it fun for yourself and have friends you can relate to!

2) Collabs…

This is easier said than done… My suggestion for this is try to collab with people around your subscriber amount. Now I know at first it won’t seem like much, but even one extra sub is amazing to see in your emails! Growing takes time as long as your willing to put time into it.

3) Tags!

Most people know this but it’s good to cover the basics. When you upload a youtube video there is a section for tags. Don’t just put the title in there, put everything that you can that relates to your video. If it’s you talking about turtles, tag: turtle, shell, little legs, slow, cute, blah blah blah. As many words as you can think of! BUT, my personal opinion, don’t put things in there that doesn’t relate to you. Examples: Big youtubers, current events, famous people (unless it’s related to your video or you talk about them.) You don’t want people to hate you yet, that’s for when your famous and stuff!

4) Market Yourself and Make it fun!

If you are passionate about your work and like it show it off! I know some people don’t want to show their friends on facebook the weird videos they might do. But for those who want a few extra views and maybe another subscriber post it on your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Myspace? Anything you want!

If you have great talking skills don’t be afraid to let people see. I would suggest going onto a website like blogtv.com and doing live shows. Make them fun for the audience to watch, don’t forget to plug your channel and make people SUBSCRIBE! Talk about whatever you like, just don’t make it a chore… Which brings us to our fourth tip!

5) Don’t make YouTube a chore!

Now if your first starting out chances are you aren’t going to blow up. On the off chance you do, congrats, don’t forget to mention me ;). I want to express that you should try to not make youtube a chore. Try to make it something you enjoy. If you make youtube something you “have” to do or as if it’s like a job, it might discourage you because your not getting the results you were looking for. This is just my opinion because I have gone through that and I find when I make it more fun, everything is more fun including life itself.

I hope this can help and remember these are all just opinions, you don’t have to do it this way. Can’t wait to see the great content that comes from these channels!
